Thanks to advances in dental materials and technology, replacing missing teeth has never looked more natural. While dental implants and fixed bridgework provide excellent solutions, removable dentures remain a tried-and-true method for reestablishing a complete smile.

Our dentures are meticulously designed to rebuild beautiful smiles and support natural facial contours while enabling you to speak, smile, and chew with renewed confidence and ease.

We're dedicated to helping you enjoy the benefits of a beautiful smile and take pride in offering personalized solutions to address your dental needs, lifestyle, and budget.

How Missing Teeth Affect Your Smile and Health

Across the country, over 175 million adults have lost at least one tooth, and close to 40 million are missing all of their teeth. Tooth loss is often the result of extensive dental decay, advanced gum disease, traumatic injury, or other medical conditions.

Beyond the social and emotional impact of gaps in your smile, missing teeth can:

  • Affect your ability to speak clearly
  • Make it difficult to eat a nutritious diet
  • Cause remaining teeth to shift out of alignment
  • Lead to gradual changes in facial appearance, creating a sagged or aged look
  • Impact your bite and create additional gaps over time

While it's never too late to rebuild a complete smile, it's always best to replace missing teeth sooner rather than later. Both partial and full dentures offer effective and satisfying solutions.

What Are Dentures?

Dentures are removable appliances designed to rest comfortably on the gums that cover your jawbones. They consist of natural-looking artificial teeth set in a supportive base. Dentures are versatile and cost-effective—they can replace just a few missing teeth or all of the teeth in your upper or lower jaws.

Unlike conventional bridgework and dental implants, dentures are removable. You can take them out to clean them, maintain the health of your gums and any remaining teeth, or remove them while sleeping.

Types of Dentures We Offer

At Smile Care Dental Group, we carefully evaluate your smile, the health of any remaining teeth, and the surrounding tissues and bone to develop a treatment plan that meets your functional and aesthetic needs.

Full Dentures

Full dentures (also called complete dentures) replace all the upper teeth, lower teeth, or both. The design and timing of your denture depends on your specific needs:

Conventional Full Denture
Fabricated and placed after all remaining teeth are removed and tissues have fully healed, ensuring a precise and comfortable fit.

Immediate Denture
Placed the same day your teeth are removed, so you never go without teeth. May require adjustments and relining as tissues heal. In some cases, a conventional denture may eventually be needed for optimal fit.

Overdenture
A complete denture that receives added stability from special attachments secured to remaining teeth or dental implants.

Implant-Supported Dentures
Attaches to a select number of strategically placed implants in your jaw. These surgical posts provide precise points of attachment and add significant stability and retention.

Partial Dentures

When some sturdy natural teeth remain, partial dentures offer an effective solution for filling in the gaps. They restore your ability to chew and speak comfortably while preventing remaining teeth from shifting.

Common questions
Will my dentures look natural?+

Absolutely. We use the highest grade dental materials and design your dentures to match your natural tooth color, shape, and size. Our goal is to create a beautiful smile that looks and feels like your own.

How long does it take to get used to dentures?+

Most patients adjust within a few weeks. Initially, dentures may feel a bit bulky or loose as your cheek and tongue muscles learn to hold them in place. Eating and speaking will become easier with practice, and any minor soreness typically subsides as your mouth adapts.

How do I care for my dentures?+

Remove and rinse your dentures after eating, brush them daily with a soft-bristle brush and denture cleaner (not regular toothpaste), and soak them overnight in a denture solution. Also continue to gently brush your gums, tongue, and any remaining teeth to maintain healthy tissues.
