Straighten Your Smile Without Metal Braces

If you've been dreaming of straighter teeth but don't want the look or feel of traditional metal braces, Invisalign® offers a clear alternative. These custom-made, removable aligners gradually shift your teeth into place — and most people won't even notice you're wearing them.

At Smile Care Dental Group, we use Invisalign® to help patients of all ages achieve the confident smile they've always wanted. Whether you're concerned about crowding, spacing, or bite alignment, we'll create a personalized treatment plan tailored to your unique needs.

What Is Invisalign®?

Invisalign® aligners are made from a clear, flexible plastic material called SmartTrack®, which was developed exclusively for Invisalign treatment and is FDA approved. Each set of aligners is custom-designed to fit snugly over your teeth and apply gentle, controlled pressure to move them into the desired position.

You'll wear each set of aligners for about 20–22 hours a day, removing them only to eat, drink, brush, and floss. Every few weeks, you'll switch to a new set of aligners as your teeth gradually move closer to their final position.

The Invisalign® Process

1. Consultation & Exam
We'll examine your teeth and discuss your goals to determine if Invisalign® is right for you.

2. Custom Treatment Plan
Once approved, we'll map out your personalized treatment plan and order your first set of aligners.

3. Wear Your Aligners
You'll wear each set of aligners for the prescribed time, removing them only for meals and oral care.

4. Regular Check-Ins
You'll visit our office every five to six weeks so we can monitor your progress and provide your next sets of aligners.

5. Reveal Your New Smile
After treatment is complete, you'll wear retainers at night to keep your teeth in their beautiful new position.

Life With Invisalign®

Because the aligners are removable, you can enjoy all your favorite foods without restrictions — just take them out before eating. You can also brush and floss normally, making it easier to maintain great oral hygiene throughout treatment.

There's a short adjustment period when you first start wearing aligners, and you may notice a slight change in your speech for a day or two. The more you talk with them in, the faster you'll adapt. You may also feel some pressure or minor discomfort for a day or two each time you switch to a new set of aligners — that's a good sign that your teeth are moving as planned.

Keeping Your Aligners Clean

Brush your aligners with toothpaste to keep them fresh and clean. It's important to brush your teeth after eating before putting your aligners back in. Avoid chewing gum with your aligners in, as it will stick to the plastic. And while we discourage smoking in general, be aware that cigarette smoke can discolor your aligners.

After Treatment: Retainers

Once your Invisalign® treatment is complete, we'll provide retainers to wear at night indefinitely. This simple step ensures your teeth stay in their new position and protects the investment you've made in your smile.

Common questions
How does Invisalign® work?+

After a consultation and exam, we'll create a custom treatment plan for your needs. You'll receive your first set of clear aligners, which you'll wear for 20–22 hours a day. We'll monitor your progress regularly, and you'll switch to new aligners every few weeks as your teeth gradually move into place.

Is Invisalign® expensive?+

According to Invisalign®, the cost is approximately the same as traditional metal braces. A portion may be covered by your dental insurance. Call us to schedule a consultation where we can discuss pricing and payment plan options.

How long does Invisalign® treatment take?+

The average treatment time is 12–18 months, but it varies based on your specific needs. Some patients see results much sooner. Wearing your aligners exactly as instructed — up to 22 hours daily — will help you achieve the best results in the shortest time.

Are there any food restrictions with Invisalign®?+

No. Because the aligners are removable, you can eat whatever you like. Just remove them before eating, then brush your teeth and the aligners before putting them back in.

Will Invisalign® affect my speech?+

There's a short adjustment period, just like with any orthodontic treatment. The more you speak with the aligners on, the quicker you'll adapt — usually within a day or two.

What happens after treatment is complete?+

We'll provide retainers for you to wear at night indefinitely. This ensures your teeth stay in their new position and maintains the healthy bite you've achieved.

Does Invisalign® work for kids?+

Yes, as long as their teeth — including second molars — have grown in completely. We'll evaluate your child's teeth during a consultation to determine if they're a good candidate.
